Program Overview

Hendrix Country Home offers a highly structured program which includes education through family involvement, recreation, behavior management, basic life skills training, and individual and group counseling for substance and sexual abuse. The program is goal-oriented and incorporates a level system which allows children to function safely at optimal and personal performance levels. Through an intensive therapeutic program, all children are ensured a safe and productive environment which facilitates developmental progress.

A therapeutic environment will be provided that promotes cognitive and emotional growth by teaching basic, pro-social life skills. Hendrix Country Home utilizes the Psychoeducational Model of therapy, which combines the elements of cognitive-behavior therapy, group therapy, and educations with the basic aim of providing the child and families knowledge about various facets of the areas of concern and its treatment so that they can work together with mental health professionals for a better overall outcome.
